"Live from the abundant place that you are loved, and you won't find yourself begging for scraps." - Uninvited by Lysa Terkeurst
The book Uninvited by Lysa Terkeurst was one of the many books I read after my divorce. I read it over and over again. I wanted to make sure that the words, the guidance, and the wisdom was always on my heart. This quote was one that stayed with me over the past four years.
There is no "middle" like the middle of rejection. No matter what the rejection is -- there is deep deep pain in it. You know something has ended - maybe a friendship, a career, a romantic relationship -- but something new has not started. So you are there in the middle. The beautiful thing is that we get to invite the Lord into that rejection middle.
Lovelies, when we recognize our worth -- something changes. We live differently. We see things in a new light. When we are in our rejection middle and we start to see ourselves the way that God sees us -- our entire life changes.
Romans 8:38-39 says that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God. He absolutely adores you! Let that sink into your heart. He loves you and NOTHING can separate that. He sees you as beautiful (Song of Songs 4:7) He sings over you with gladness (Zephaniah 3:17). You are His masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10).
When we start to truly grasp these truths (and so many others found in the word of God) we will no longer look for validation in anything else. We live from the overflow of being loved by God.
If you are in any type of middle right now I pray that you will find God's love here. I pray that you will find your worth here. And when this middle ends (because they all do) that you will walk boldly and triumphantly.
