On November 2017, I had the privilege of attending a Sisters of the Crown coronation. It was a lovely time of being honored and “called up” into a greater partnership with the King of Kings. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and listened expectantly to hear His voice while soaking in His Presence.
The Lord spoke to me saying, “Fourteen years ago I called you to step up from being my Princess to becoming my Queen, my partner in the great work of the Kingdom of God on earth. Just as Samuel came to David years before He became king, prophesying to him about his kingly calling. Today I am commissioning you to come into the fullness of that calling. Rise and take my hand, I will be with you every step of the way.”
In 2004, I experienced a brain seizure disorder called trigeminal neuralgia, had to have brain surgery and a long painful recovery. I was confined to the couch in my home for about a year and a half. At that time in my life, I was at the very lowest, weakest place I had ever been. In my weakness, the Lord open the way for me to attend my first crowning ceremony. It was life changing!
Since my experience in 2004, I have been stretched more and experienced more rapid growth than in any previous period of my life. Something deep inside me had responded to the call from the Lord. From then on, I just allowed the Lord to lead me onward and forward.
At my November crowning things became clear to me – it was an “aha” moment. I understood that this time, the crowning represented the commissioning – the launching point for the call I’d received fourteen years ago. I don’t think it was any coincidence that this commissioning came just a few months before the launch of my first book, The Divine Invitation: Entering the Dance of Becoming Fully Alive. I believe it is a part of this greater work of the Kingdom of God on earth I’ve been called to – it is a door-opener into more impact, more serving, more freedom for God’s people, specifically for His daughters.
I’m really grateful that Ingrid (founder of Sisters of the Crown) said “yes” to the invitation Jesus gave her. She stepped up to receive her crown, and to be His partner in the calling and commissioning of His beautiful princesses. He is beckoning us to rise and enter a royal partnership with Him.
Whether you receive the call or the commission at your coronation is really up to Him. He is after all, the King! I believe this Scripture below describes His invitation to us all. It’s an invitation to move out of our comfort zones and go on adventures with Him, bearing fruit in all His Kingdom.
“I am my beloved’s, And his desire is for me. “Come, my beloved, let us go out into the country, Let us spend the night in thevillages. “Let us rise early and go to the vineyards; Let us see whether the vine has budded and its blossoms have opened, And whether the pomegranates have bloomed. There I will give you my love.” - Song of Solomon 7:10-12 (NASB)
