Go ahead and make all the plans you want, but it’s the Lord who will ultimately directs your steps. We are all in love with our own opinions, convinced they’re correct. But the Lord is in the midst of us, testing and probing our every motive. Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed. The Lord works everything together to accomplish His purpose. Proverbs 16:1-4 (TPT)

Preparation is the art of practicing for what is ahead before arriving at those defining moments. Preparation time is a gift, not a jail sentence. However, in the middle of the preparation it may feel like a life sentence in solitary confinement! We always have seasons of preparation before our new places. Sometimes those seasons are short and sometimes they are decades (ouch!). God often shows us what is ahead to give us vision for the future.

While you are in your preparation time with God keep remembering Whose you are and who you are. It is better to be standing still with God than moving ahead without Him. God’s timing is a mystery. He lives outside of time. God has a unique plan for your life. And because He is a God of variety, your time of preparation and your season of growth is unique.

Embrace your season. Put your tiara on, dance like no one is watching, and give thanks that your new season is on the horizon!

Every room in my house was open, all my closets too, hinges normally tucked away were exposed. I knew the Lord was exposing me and opening me up so that nothing was hidden.
